Nordic skiing and snowshuewalking

Nordic skiing may be the most popular form of skiing since it does not require a specially ski area. It is the oldest form of skiing and was developed in Scandinavia as a way of traveling in the winter. Get acquainted with cross skiing and learn the techniques with a help of a local skiing instructor. You start your skiing lesson by learning the basics: how to slide and stop, how to use the poles.
Walking with snowshoes in the deep snow, you can admire the beautiful wintry scenery. If you are lucky, you may even see some animal prints in the snow. We have a break by an open fire and enjoy some refreshments

Experience a short tour in a sledge pulled by reindeer.
Reindeer are an essential part of Lapland's nature and one of the distinctive signs of the north. They are half-tame deer, which man has adopted as a domestic animal. There are about 200 000 reindeer in Lapland and approximately 6 500 reindeer owners, herdsmen. The reindeer herder will demonstrate how to drive a reindeer sledge, and then it is your turn to participate in reindeer driving test, for which you will receive your own reindeer driving licence! Hot beverages are served around campfire on the Kukkola camp.
