The Nordic House

The Nordic House - Pohjolan Pirtti is a loghouse, which built in traditional style for the area, first time in the 1910. Catering restaurant Pohjolan Pirtti - Nordic House locates on the Kukkola village, about 15 km from Tornio to north. Pirtti is located right above the rapids.
Pirtti has accommodations for 14 person, four tree persons room and one two person room.

Pirtti was founded in 2004. And it has become very popular place to organize all kind of events, for example meetings, or your company's representative occasions, weddings, birthdays. All events are planned together with the customer. In Pohjolan Pirtti - Nordic House catering restaurant has seats up to 75 -85 persons.

Äkästoka cottage in the Ylläs fell Äkäslompolo village - Lapland Finland

Äkäslompolo village (Ylläs fell) is situated high above the Arctic Circle amidst beautiful, clean and unspoilt nature offering peace and tranquillity. The area is beautiful and unspoilt and is really one of Europe's last wildernesses and Ylläs fell is set to become the greatest ski resort in Lapland. Lapland is also the true home of Santa Claus and you can visit ( in December) this famous man in person.
The fauna of the area includes reindeers, red squirrels and numerous birds.

The Ylläs area has numerous activities in the wintertime. Winter season is from late October to April: Cross-country skiing over 300 km maintained cross-country skiing trails. Alpine skiing: 60 pistes and 30 lifts. Snowmobiles, reindeer farms and sleigh rides, husky farms and rides, ice fishing etc.

In the summertime the midnight sun shines practically all summer long with pleasantly warm weather. Trekking, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing are just a few of the activities available. Entertainment is guaranteed all year round with music, bands and dancing.
